A public evidence board
The Election Readiness Tracker is designed to turn broad political claims into measurable questions. Each benchmark will have a status, a date, a responsible institution and links to supporting documents.
The categories
The first release will cover electoral law, voter registration, constituency arrangements, political-party access, civic education, election financing, polling logistics, security, observer accreditation, dispute resolution and results procedures.
The status language
Completed means documentary evidence shows the benchmark has been achieved. Underway means an official process is active but unfinished. Delayed means a stated deadline or necessary sequence has slipped. No public evidence means SSLO could not locate enough documentation to verify completion.
Corrections and right of reply
Institutions, parties and members of the public will be invited to submit documents or corrections. SSLO will update the tracker when stronger evidence becomes available.
Why this is different
The objective is not to decide the election outcome or campaign for a candidate. It is to help citizens judge the process using the same visible standards.
